And the good news is that Tencent will not need to take the game server offline for maintenance, meaning there will be less disruption.

on.We don’t have an exact time fans can expect the new download to go live but we would expect things to start kicking off at around 2am, GMT.

As mentioned above, it will matter what timezone you’re in when it comes to when the new download is launched.

And it should also be noted that Tencent is warning that you will need an extra 670MB of space on your phone for this patch.
If you’re not able to download the new update for some time, it may lead to you being unable to play with those who have.

Here’s an update from Tencent, who confirms: “The new Update for 0.16.0 will be available starting December 11th; the server will not be taken offline for this update.

“This update requires about 0.67 GB of storage space on Android and iOS.

"Players on different patches will be unable to invite each other, so please update as soon as possible after release."
PUBG MOBILE PATCH NOTES

Tencent has released patch notes for the 0.16.0 update and that means we know what is being planned for December 11.

The two main changes the Dev Team wants you to know are the launch of the new Winter Festival, a change to the classic mode, and the arrival EvoGround mode: RageGear.

As beta players already know, EvoGround mode is vehicle based and players need to destroy each other to win.

Players are divided into two teams and randomly assigned as drivers or shooters. The objective of the game is to destroy enemy vehicles to win.

Each vehicle is set up with powerful weapons, including mounted gatlings, mounted shotguns and mounted RPG.

The driver also ignites weapons while driving and both players will get the chance to unlock special items.

There is also the RageGear -TDM mode, which includes destroying an enemy vehicle for 1 point.  The team achieving the goal first wins.

And Pick Up mode, which focuses on teams collecting Point Crates to win.

There’s also a ton of other changes being made to the game.
